There are moments that MOVE us. Those that move us to ACTION. Those that PROPEL us forward. Some that threaten to PUSH us back. We are moved.
We get UP. We get MOVING.
We are MOVED in some way … by the unexpected touch on our shoulder … the doors held open for us … and the doors that are closed. The need to move FORWARD despite it all and BECAUSE of it all.
We MOVE through life in the moments. These are OUR MOMENTS, some private, and some that need to be shared so someone else can see our example of what it’s like to KEEP MOVING.
These moments have moved me … to love more, to sacrifice a little, to lose myself in the beauty of this world, to knock down walls, to celebrate, and to speak up:
my daughters walking down the stairs at Biltmore …
the boyish scribbling of a love poem …
a surprise starfish sighting …
the announcement that changed our lives …
making space for new light …
cartwheels on the beach …
seeking to understand our differences …
traditions …
saying yes, when it mattered to her.
WHAT a lovely and meaningful post. .. it has MOVED me for sure, Stacy. Many thanks 🙏
Here are some moments that have moved me recently...
My little Ginger dog observing me with loving, liquid eyes as I sit on the toilet.
Walking out into crisp fall air, looking up at stars, taking a deep breath as I choose to forget everything except that moment, for a moment.
Glancing out the window at the river and noticing how the geese are all happily lined up on the dead tree.
Taking that first sip of coffee while turning off the news.
Beautiful. Here’s moments that move me:
A subway busker playing a beautiful song
An act of kindness from a stranger
A happy dog walking with its human
A random complement
Witnessing someone reach a life milestone
Two waggy tails at the top of the stairs
